The first thing you need to watch out for when selecting a pair of discounted shoes is the cushioning available in the shoe. More expensive brands tend to have more padding to support the foot, while the inner part of discount shoes is often thin and provides little support and comfort. When you try on shoes, be sure to walk around the store to gauge the level of padding in the shoes you are considering so that you don't make a purchase that will make you uncomfortable.
Decorations or ornaments that are found on shoes are often very cheaply made on shoes that can be found at discount stores. Bows, beading, and other embellishments are often made from inexpensive materials and are not sewn onto the shoes properly.
